A graduate of history, he has built his career on his passion for thorough research and the power of the written word.

Since arriving in the Netherlands, Ben has undertaken a range of communications and journalistic roles on behalf of shipbuilders, shipping companies, maritime equipment manufacturers and industry media.

In 2022, he began working with Joanne, going on to become joint owner of Buoy Communications. Today, he enjoys providing support to the maritime companies large and small that make up Buoy’s diverse client portfolio. Ben is the proud owner of a Black Forest Cuckoo clock and a lifelong devotee to the culinary art of cheese.
